Did you mean:

Parallel Loops using DaqMX

I should have been clearer as to the definition of device. It does not mean the whole DAQ card. It means the analog input circuit or analog output circuit. In most responses, I use the term hardware resource.

tbob,

It was explained to me in another thread (http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Daqmx-tasks-running-in-parallel-loops-LV8-5/m-p/1031286) that one input and output task is allowed, but two input or two output tasks would result in an error.

Yes.  To have two output tasks or two input tasks would cause an error.  To do this, you must specify multiple channels for one task, as Dennis has correctly pointed out in his first post.
