Why would you want to do that? who would be accessing it?

A international spy that managed to obtain the device through nefarious means.  Perhaps other reasons... but obviously, for security purposes. 

 

And no, the nonvolatile memory in that device is not rated for classified data.  Don't ask why I know that, you have no need to know.  The location must provide security the device cannot.
