Plotting circle in XY Graph

I have an example to plot a circle in XY Graph. I dont know which formula have been used to implement the same. Could anyone explain me? Please refer the attached image.

Sine and Cosine.  Are you familiar with trigonometry?  The sine and cosine of an angle give the X and Y coordinates of a circle.
