You can do this yourself.
Open the VI in 8.5. Under the "file" menu, select "save for previous version". Choose version 8.2. And there you go!

Not necessarily. It is possible he has a LV 8.5 file from somewhere else and doesn't have LV8.5 or newer to be able to open it.

yeah guys, I dont have labview 8.5. And also I am not willing to install it just for this one file....
I am attaching the file with this message, Plz convert that to labview 8.2 vi & then post it back.

Here you go.
If you use it, it needs a lot of work as local variables are abused. There are while loops that only run once for no reason. And serial ports being reconfigured on every loop iteration.
