Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about modules/libraries/VIs/etc that would help establishing communications via Powerlink (Industrial Ethernet) via labview.
I personally never used it before and I'm having trouble finding relevant information about it's implementation with labview.
Are there any examples? [I would prob. Implemented using a computer or sbRio not yet defined]
Thank you for any information you can provide me with.
"The Ethernet protocol extension POWERLINK is 100 percent compliant to the Ethernet standard. That means that the communication protocol is completely software-based, and does not make use of any proprietary hardware. All applications can be implemented using standard hardware."

Hey Ibanez,
It looks like you are working with another applications engineer regarding this issue. I would suggest to continue communication with him to see what he has to say. I did find a white paper on this matter, so this would be one route to look into:

Thanks Kurt,
I will follow up with the other engineer. I just wasn't sure how to route my question. I saw that white paper and some other links . It lets me to beleave that if using a regular computer or regular ethernet I should be able to just "find" a driver to make it work. Or if using a sbRio I think it should also be possible to use the FPGA capabilities of it.
I'll wait and see what information I get. Thanks again.
