Problem in cRIO 9148 detection in MAX

Hi

I am facing problem in detecting NI cRIO-9148 using MAX. I connected cRIO and PC through a cross over cable and tried to detect through MAX. But in Remote Systems the device list was empty. Can anybody guide me how to sort out this issue and provide step-by-step procedure to detect Compact RIO using MAX.

Regards,

Visuman

1. Make sure that you install RIO 3.5 or later by checking in MAX>>My System>>Software. If not, http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/tech/lang/en/pg/1/ps/30/sn/ssnav:drv/q/rio/.

2. Follow setup step in - Community Admin Note:  The link has been removed due to an invalid link.

3. You should also make sure that Firewall is disabled, and PC and 9148 is under the same subnet.

Your system requires LabVIEW FPGA & Real TIme to communicate with cRIO RT system with latest drivers

Please check your system IP and cRIO IP are in same Class so that it is discovered in your PC,

If you are in home network which has DHCP server ,reset your IP using Hardware switch and restart your system

You do not need to install LV RT and FPGA to see your cRIO in MAX.  However, you do need to ensure that you have installed BOTH NI-RIO and CompactRIO support.  If you are in MAX and expand the Software category on your local system you should see both NI-RIO and CompactRIO support listed.

If you don't please be sure to install the CompactRIO runtime.

Now if you want to install software to your cRIO then you may need to install LV RT depending on what you need to upgrade.
