Problem installing Labview Community

Hi

I am trying to install labview community on windows 10 and get this error,

An error occurred while upgrading from package 'ni-ceip (21.5.0.49152-0+f0)' to 'ni-ceip (25.0.0.49234-0+f82)'.

Additional error information:
• An error occurred while creating a process to run command '"C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\CEIP\niceipsettings.exe" -uninstall'.

This happened before so I uninstalled previous versions of Labview with package manager but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

The problem is mentioned in this post What-is-ni-ceip-x86-error  but it is out of date, obviously been a problem for a while.

Hi

I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I am the product owner for ceip so I will have the team look into this. Just for reference, what version of LabVIEW did you previously have installed?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I seem to have had every version of Labview since 2014 through updates. This is the error message I was getting;

An error occurred while upgrading from package 'ni-ceip (21.5.0.49152-0+f0)' to 'ni-ceip (25.0.0.49234-0+f82). Hope that helps.

Hi Ed,

Apologies for the delayed response. I was expecting an email about a response, but our NI emails just got turned off so it got sent off to the void.

The team hasn't been able to replicate this on any of their systems. They were wandering if you could send the Package Manager logs to us as that might help us. The instructions on how to get those logs can be found here: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000YHe6CAG&l=en-US

I have one more idea that I want to try. I will work on that and respond about that by the end of the week.

Thanks,

Chris
