Problem using the 'write to spreadsheet' vi.

Hi,

Whilst working on an undergrad project to measure the acceleration of an accelerometer, using the write to spreadsheet vi consistently saves to a 'file' file type and has to be opened with Microsoft notepad and cannot be opened with excel. Any ideas on how to rectify this?

Thanks

Rectify what? I don't see where you've described a problem.

It doesn't save as a .csv file

What is the full path that you are giving the VI?  What delimiter are you using?

Have you set it up correctly? As the context help describes, the default delimiter is a tab and you need to specify a comma if you want csv. After all, the c stands for comma.Smiley Wink

Yes we did put the comma in as the delimiter. It seems we've sorted it now, finally! Sorry about that, we'd all got to the end of our tethers with it!

Thanks for the help.
