Even if you get LabVIEW 8, you do realize that you will not be able to load any VIs that you previously wrote, don't you?

LOL...  But that's part of the fun.. 😉 

Not necessarily a complete limitation as people could save for previous version, anyway.

If it's to practice LabVIEW it's okay.  To actually write code, you need to purchase the appropriate package.
