Problem with IMAQ Learn Pattern 2

I have a problem using IMAQ Learn Pattern 2, when it is not able to create a template.

It is only a selection of the whole application, but I think the key to solving the problem lies in the attachment.

The problem is that I have to create 10 templates (the numbers 0-9) in order to reconize a number, but sometimes I get a memory leak i.e. not the message displayed in the example. I guess this is due to the surrounding code.

Anyway the problem occurs as the numbers is small and therefore does not have enough contrast. I can not limit the size of the numbers since the scale of different charactersets i quite different (e.g. I have to use size 1 and 2).

I could ofcourse stop creating templates as the error occurs, but eventually it will happen more times (as the size and font is changed) leading to occurance of the problem.

Does anybody have a solution?

Have you tired to zoom the template image?  Try to use IMAQ expand before making the template.  That works for me.  To match it you may have to zoom the original image you are comparing it against.
