Hi,

I 've got the error   -1950679034 when I read a shared variable. I don't understand why!!

My project is composed of a Pc and  PXI target under LVRT.

The firewall is desactivated.

Which are the parameters needed to be activated to use correctly shared variable?

If I read this SV before reading trhere is no error!!!!

thanks

Hi,

This is just a warning:

As an initial step you have to initialize the shared variables to a value.

Just a quick follow up on the Shared Variable Server being blocked by the Firewall:  I had our system working just fine.  A few weeks later, the user tried to run it and it didn't work correctly.  Same thing a week later on another system.  We hadn't changed anything on either system.  Hadn't been running it.  But the computers had been used for other purposes.

It appears that Wonderful Windows did an automatic update with some security fixes that caused the Firewall to once again block the shared variable server.  Turned off the firewall and its working again.  We haven't figured out which services or ports are now being blocked that need to have exceptions.  We're planning on installing Zone Alarm, since that tends to tell you what it is trying to block, making it easier to create exceptions for things you know you want to let through.  Ah, Micros**t!

Hi Julesjay,

Do you get it as a warning or as a error?

Are you using LabVIEW DSC with this?

If you are, please check this

I believe it was an error.  We are not using DSC.
