If you have installed NI-DAQmx 8.6.0f12, you must determine whether this issue affects you by visiting www.ni.com/info and entering code “rda7a7”.



So, I do have 8.6.0f12, which was installed fresh...but I guess regardless, I should still get rid of it and install the newer version....correct?

I guess the steps would be to uninstall NI-DAQmx through "Add/Remove Programs" in control panel and then manualy delete the "Data" folder as they explain in the alert....then, download 8.6.1 and install it..........any other suggestions?

That appears to sum it up. I haven't looked lately, but the 8.6.x download is probably a big one, so if you don't have a fast connection you will probably want to schedule it for a time when you aren't too busy or need network access.

It actually just finished downloading (790 Mb)...it took about 20 minutes.............so I'll be doing it in 5 minutes

Hi Emerino,

You should be fine now after upgrading to DAQmx 8.6.1.  As stated in the knowledge base you linked here, this will prevent you from having any future trouble with the issue.  Please let me know if you have any difficulty installing the new version of DAQmx.
