Program modification in 200249.vi

Solved!

The 'b' in the version indicates to me a beta version and that should have expired a long time ago. Other than mentioning this to the person using it, not much else can be done.

I have checked your modified program.

I find a problem with it:

When I click Run, I see a popup window to save the file but when i enter file name and say save. The same pop out window opens up again and saving it again>> results in the error 43.

What should I do to make the program run and save the file.

Thanks,

Venu

You need to have a file name entered in the file path control before starting the VI.

If that path is empty, then it will raise the File Open dialog on every iteration.

Hi,

Since I am a new user and am in learning stage I am not clear about how to do it.

Could you kindly please let me know how to enter the file name in the file path control.

I apologize if I am bothering too much.

Thanks,

Venu

You could type in the path or the file name.  But that would be a pain if you had the file in some other directory.

Right click on the file path control, visible items, Browse Button.  Now you can click on the browse button and navigate to the directory and filename that you want to save it to.

I am providing step by step pictures of my problem.

Files attached.

I am using Labview7.1

Step1:Opening of the file.

Step2:Click Run>Asks to save

Step3:Entered the file name '456'

Step4:Window Pops up again asking to save the file again.

Step5:Enter the file name again

This keeps on repeating.

Can you please suggest a solution for the problem.

Did you do what I said?

Your jpeg's show that you didn't bother to put a file name in the control before starting the VI !!!!

One other thing.  You may need to change the browse options for the file path control (right click to get to them) so that you can choose new or existing filenames.
