1. what is arg 1?

2. Is possible reset the serial port with RESET BUSS OFF or an another hard RESET?

Where are you getting that error? Usually that's due to trying to set a VISA parameter that's not supported by the hardware. Are you using some sort of serial converter box? What kind? What does your code look like?

Also, what do you mean by "resetting the serial port"? Are you referring to flushing the TX/RX buffer?
