Mark was apparently multi-tasking this morning
, and suggested the following idea:
http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Add-an-intlligent-select-all-feature/idi-p/2047024
My initial reaction was the same as Mr. Mike's comment, and having already done practically all of the work already it was a breeze to create the QD shortcut to do the job. I can not attach VIs to the Idea Exchange post so I will park it here.
Add the attached VI (LV10 version) to the appropriate QD directory (LabVIEW Data/Quick Drop Plugins). I use 'S' for select since I already use 'A', if this is too close to Save for you, feel free to change the default mapping found in the VI description or use the QD config.
To use: Select a single object on the FP or BD, Ctrl-Space Ctrl-s and all of the objects (wires, terminals, For Loops, etc.) with the same Class Name will be selected.
Fairly useful now, perhaps in the not-too-distant future it will become very useful.
