RLS encoder connection Issues

Solved!

Hi All,

I have an E2019Q USB ENCODER INTERFACE but i couldn't make the windows recognize it.

I tried on win 10 & 11 and also tried compatibility mode for 8 and 7.

I cannot see it on NI-MAX as well as a COM Port.

I installed below drivers and software...

When I run the software I have the below screen.

Thanks,

Karthik

Hi Karthiknp,

I moved your message into its own thread because it is (totally) unrelated to the problems discussed in the older thread…

So this is no LabVIEW problem.

It's a problem of some 3rd party hardware and its drivers: why don't you contact the manufacturer of that device and ask them for help with their products? What did RLS say about their USB interface?

Best regards,

Did you install the drivers that are outlined in the documentation? Can you see this device using the software the manufacturer supplies?

I installed the drivers from ST microelectronics.

STM32 Virtual COM Port Driver...it works for E2019Q USB ENCODER INTERFACE

As I mentioned in the post if I install drivers from the RLS website from their documentation it doesn't work.

Now, all is good, and I can see it in NI Max and use it in labview.
