Hi aman,

no need to hijack very old threads!

how to measure the value of torque constant of BLDC motor?

According to Wikipedia this seems an easy job…

GerdW

In wiki they didn't have show in right manner and also they are not reliable because they explain on the basis of different user manual. I have read all the references which shown by motor constant wiki in which some times they show that Motor constant is another thing some time they show that motor constant and torque constant are same thing. They also highly confuse on

Ke and Kv. Sometimes they relate these two constant sometime with torque constant without any prove. So I think don't believe on wiki page because there is no surety of correctness. I have send you a link please read it.http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=4596427.

Thanks with apologies.

Hi aman,

I can't access IEEE documents…

So you already have an idea how to measure/calculate the numbers you need - but you still ask for? Why don't you follow the suggestions/methods your paper is presenting?

GerdW

In that paper they only define the torque constant and back emf constant  in a technical way not as a wiki page do. They also describe how to find out but at last they stop with the measurement of emf.

That is why I am asking a question.

If you have idea then please reply me.

Hi aman,

I just took a glance at this paper and it seems they only use phase current/voltage for k_T calculation…
