Hi smalhao,

 

I don't think you can use a ScanEngine access to your DIO pins, it most probably is too slow…

(I guess you need to use the FPGA of your cRIO system.)

I didn't see anywhere that was mentioned this was on an FPGA.  But of course there are methods to read stuff fast on an FPGA.

 

This really should be its own thread and not a part of the original.  I'll split it out.

There is an example somewhere (might have to download it through VIPM) for I2C using a LabVIEW FPGA module.  1-Wire and I2C are similar enough, it might get you want you need.

 

However, I would just go with a DS2480B (serial to 1-wire driver chip) and use a serial port to get the readings.  It will save you A LOT of headaches.
