Read Binary Data

Hi Guys,

My project deals with data acquisition using accelerometers. I use Labview 8.0 and IOTech Wavebook 516/E as the DAQ system. I was successfull in writing the data acquired from the sensors. Now the problem i am facing is in reading the data.  The vi that i coded reads each and every data point before I am able to read the data. So it takes hell lot of time to read back all the data that is stored in the computer itself.Any methodology to speed up the process would be appreciable.

My data is in 2D array format. I am new to this field and any suggestion would be really helpful. I attach my read and write files for ur reference but would like to tell you that you would not be able to access a few sub vi's as they are the hardware realted. u can ignore them.

Cheers

Can you save your vi as version 7.1

If you are trying to read the data and display it on a graph don't plot
all the data. plotting lots of data on a graph eats up your computers
memory and slows everything down. There are some good examples on NI's
web site for displaying large data set (MB's to GB's).
