Read Excel spreadsheet from Excel 2000 and/or 2003

hello

my name is fabio and im just starting to learn about Labview. im using labview 8.2 and i dont know how to read one specific column from a excel file. i have been reading the posible solutions publicated in this forum but those does not seem to work in this version of labview. can any one help me?? thanks

Hi Fabio,

These examples seem to work for me in LabVIEW 8.2.  Are you getting some kind of error message?

Another option might be to simply open the file you want to read in excel and save it in any of the text formats, which could then be read in using something like the "Read from Text File.vi" in the Example Finder.

Hello

What does select

* from demo   refer to in your example?

 

Curious if this ADO example will allow me to retrieve all the rows of a spreadsheet , also retrieve the rows as they are associated with the individual worksheets?

i found the answer to my problem, i just needed to save the excel file as a .csv file and using the read spread sheet tool in labview using a ";" as a delimeter i was able to solve the problem. thanks guys.
