Hi,

im #145 you included a picture of the interesting code.

How can I say something about the display format setting of that string constant? You have been told before how to set the format, and I hoped you had learned that lesson before.

Another disappointment...

Best regards,
GerdW

GerdW: Sorry 😉

danil33:

No, I don't have any PC with 2 COM ports nor do I have a cable. But the code is so simple that I don't need at cable to be able to debug the code. And so should you be if you have done what has been told before!

Asking for the same question over and over looks to me like you are not learning from nor reading from the answers you get.

I can't explain more simple what you have to do, than what has already been said, sorry.

If it is not working for you, you need to be a LOT MORE precise in you explaniation of what it is you are doing and what you are seing.

But PLEASE stop working on the project and go through the tutorials or talk to NI about a course for you. You will never complete the project unless you learn the basic LabVIEW or we do all the coding for you.

And yes, this tread will go to +200 posts for one question.

Now I just asked to specify the problem area only. But you people are answering like this. That is why this thread reached 200.First of all you please go through that attachment, then please write down "this is the problem".How a wague answer is helpful for a beginner. Also learning the tutorial is not enough to learn a technology,it will be like experiencing and studying new things.

I can't believe how ridiculous this thread has become.

Are you capable of reading?  Are you capable of comprehending what is told to you when you read?  Dozens of times in this thread you've been told what the problem is, yet you can't seem to put any thought or effort into understanding it!  That is why this thread is reaching 200 posts.

You've been told numerous times to pay attention to the display mode of your strings.  That includes the indicators you use to display the strings as well as the constants and controls you use to define the string that is being sent.

And the reason you get a timeout error in highlight execution is that when you use that mode, the execution of your code is much slower so LabVIEW can display to you what is going on.  As a result, the timeout part of functions such as VISA read will occur because LabVIEW isn't running fast enough.

This thread got ridiculous because it continues to get feeding. I am guilty of it just now.

Sometimes, you just have to "let go". The adage you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink applies here, no?

ha!  Smiley Happy

I probably need another comma in there. Not very good with grammar when it comes to sentences like that.

Hi All,

Below attached is the thing that Iam trying to achieve from 4-30-2012.

Anyway I succeeded as per the requirement.Iam getting the values as per my interests. But I know lot of problems in the code, and most of the times I really failed to follow your instructions. But as per the advice of LabVIEW experts(Smiley Wink) Iam going to take the Basic LabVIEW course again. And I will defenitely come back and correct my code and make my code a smarter one.Sorry If any posts irritated anyone.

All your  ridicules, scoldings, advices I will consider positively. Thanks for everyone who have contributed in this thread.

And myself closing! this thread....
