Real-Time Trace Viewer Example Doesnt Work

Hey All,

  I need some help with the Execution Systems example for the Real-Time Trace Viewer.

 Eventually I need to get the Real-Time Trace Viewer to work with my projcet, so I thought a safe place to start was with the Example file, but I cant get the example to work.  What am I doing wrong?

  I changed the RT Target IP to the IP address of my cRIO-9075.  The cRIO is directly connected to my laptop by an CAT-5 cable.  I then go to Tools->Real-Time Module->Trace Viewer.... And trace viewer opens no problem.

  Next I run the vi, but I get the error "TCP Open Connection in TraceTool Stop Trace And Send.vi->Execution Systems.vi"  

  I probed the vi, it as when it tries to sent the log, and the vi is finding my computers correct ip addres.  I also started running the Trace Viewer as Administrator in windows incase it was a firewall problem.  Any ideas of why this doesnt work?

Hey iambaconman,

It is odd that our example wouldn't work with your application.  Could you be a little more descriptive with the error message?  Are there any details that come up as well?

Also, how are you obtaining the IP Address of the computer?  Is the computer set to a static IP address or DHCP?  How is your application reading this in?  (dynamically? statically using a constant?)
