Real time module problem

Hi everybody!

I've just installed the real-time module, and I have LabView 7 (express).  I can't see any dialog box showing some real time feature, also at LabView startup I can't see the select target menu, what does it means?  (wrong installation......)

   Thanks!!

Check in MAX what software you have installed under software>labview (measurement & automation explorer is typically installed with Labview). Also in labview you should see in the  option "select execution target" in the edit menu. Some targets are automatically recognized/found, but other you may have to specify in MAX before it is listed.

Hi Graziano,

you can see in the attached images what you should see in MAX and Labview in your PC.

If your MAX doesn't show the "Real Time" module under Labview tree you have not installed or you have a bad installation of LV Real Time.

Remember that the version of Real Time must be the same one of Labview  Development System.

Ciao

Thank you, but the problem still shows, or more exactly, the menu does not show!

I have installed the right version of real-time, I hope, while I was prompted to select the LabView version...... at this point, I should think my Real time module is corrupted...

Thanks!

Hi Graziano,
try to uninstall all NI software and reinstall them in this order: LV (without driver CD), LV Real Time, Driver CD.

If this procedure doesn't solve the problem my suggestion is to call NI Support Italy to ask a new CD of LV RT 7.

The Technical Support telephone number is 02-413091.
