Redrawing of dialog tab control malfunctioning.

Hello,

This is a bit of a nit-picky problem, but I hope someone has a solution.

I have a vi with a "dialog tab control," that has trouble redrawing itself when another window is dragged over it. This happens in both the full-development and runtime environments.

When the vi or executable is running and another window is dragged over it from right to left, it seems to draw tab control vertical edges randomly in various parts of the control.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Tom,

I have seen a wide variety of graphic issues and I generally end up fixing them by updating drivers for the monitor or slowing down acceleration.

Try checking these.

Ben,

Thanks for the reply. I'm seeing this behavior on multiple computers, one that I just bought from Dell the other day, that presumably has the latest drivers.

Also, after looking carefully, the edges that show up aren't from the window I'm dragging, they're from the tab control itself, copied from the visible edge of the tab control that does not necessarily ever have to be blocked out by the window being dragged...??

Tom,
Could you send your VI and more information on the system: which version of LabVIEW, OS, RAM... to the email support group.
Also, check the CPU usage while you are running this VI. Do you see significant increase? Did you try lowering the harware acceleration?
There must be something specific to your VI or system, because I was not able to reproduce the behavior with a simple example.
Please generate an email service request at

and send the above details.
Thanks

Ditto the acceleration thing.

LV is pretty good at finding video driver issues.
Did the monitor come withthe NEW PC?
