Reference Signal for adaptive deconvolution

HI-

I am working on Ultrasonic Non-destructive testing adaptive deconvolution, the principle is same like adaptive channel equalization or inverse filtering except that the reference signal must be (wavelet) which is a short signal measured and recorded from a reflector within the test medium.

The problem now is that the adaptive filter toolkit VIs require the ref. signal to be with the same length as the input signal, it dose not accept my wavelet and give a message telling this.

Any ideas to make these VIs accept a ref. signal that is very smaller than the input signal ?
