Regarding Polarity: What is C V?

Thanks everyone!  Its an NI USB-6366.  I did RTFM and as Kyle97330 points out, the FM only shows us how to connect NI's power supply but says nothing of the polarity or what CV actually mean.

As you might have guessed, I lost my power supply so I am cobbling together a temporary one while I wait for a new one to arrive. My original educated guess was correct, and my hacked power supply is working now.  👍

I suppose CV could also just mean "constant voltage" (see here)?

Yes, and Curriculum Vitae and in Dutch also Centrale Verwarming (Central Heating) but in this case it is really Common and Voltage.

Just to add to the confusion, you will see many power supplies labeled C for Common, and then V1, V2, etc. for the different voltage outputs for the supplies.
