Register programming for PCI-6713

Hmm. The user manual PN: 322080A-01 states on page 1-6 that I can use Register level programming.

How can I do this without the information released?

Please let me know how I obtain this information since NI states "any" NI board can be programmed using register level access.

Thanks.

I'm using the das08 and das800 drivers for my Measurement Computing
boards. I can't help you with your NI card. Again, you should direct
Comedi driver specific questions to the Comedi mailing list I mentioned in
my last post. Hey, you never answered my questions, why should I continue
answering yours 😛

Hmm. . I apologize. . I guess. . .

The only question I guess I didn't answer is whether or not I tried to compile and build the comedi driver under Solaris.

I have not yet tried. The comedi driver seems pretty Linux specific, and I have little reason to believe it would work under Solaris. The comedi people haven't addressed the issue much. I still have more to figure out here.

I was able to get a preliminary document from NI which specifies the registers (some of them). I've got a basic driver building and hope to start testing today. I'll post my results here for everyones' benefit.

I think the source code should work on both platforms with little to no
changes, but what the hell do I know, today is the first time I've ever
had a Sun station in my posession. I plan to load it with UltraLinux or
Slackware (for Sun) and then add LabVIEW. Then I'll try to compile the
Comedi drivers. I'm not sure if Linux for Sun supports dynamic loading of
kernel modules... I'll cross that b
ridge when I get there.

Well it sounds like you're off to a good start. Good luck on your project
and I hope we hear from you soon!
