Registration issues?

In accordance with the plan laid out by you very helpful folk, I reinstalled LabVIEW a few times to get it to work with XP. Each time it ran through I did the registration for it and then it didn't work. Finally it works, but now it refuses to register properly. Any suggestions?

You don't actually have to register it when you install it. If that is causing problems on your machine, I would just forego the registration and get it installed first.

It is installed just fine. I just get annoyed every time it asks me for the registration information because I did register it previously. Is there any way to turn off the startup dialogue?

Actually, that is strange. I did not register mine and it never asks me to register again. Is there a checkbox anywhere in the registration dialog window that allows you to turn this off? If there is not, you might want to check in the Options to disable it this way.

Here I have pictures of the dialogues I receive when I start up LabVIEW. These are the only messages I get referring to registration, and no options are presented to me. Fig 1 shows the box that pops up, and if I click on cancel or I put in my information is irrelevant; Fig 2 ALWAYS follows Fig 1, no matter what the scenario.

In LabVIEW previous to LV 6 the setup installed LV. When you first start LV the registration dialog will be displayed. After entering the data the LV exe file will be changed containing the registration information. At this time you must have full access to the file labview.exe in your LV directory.
If you use XP Professional do this with administrator rights. Once you have registered any user can use LV.
