I am trying to remove some duplicate controls from a project - more specifically a class. Problem is the remove from project does not show up. Anyone seen this?

Hi rammer
Is the protection for the class set to public?
If you right-click on the class and select properties then you can see protection level. Also check that you have public permission under item settings for the individual items.
Also can you remove the class from the project and try to add the class again to see if this changes the behavior?

Anders,
The controls folder is public. I can do this for some of the controls just not the two I want to remove. What is even stanger is the controls I want to remove do not even have any callers, so they are just dead weight. I have tried re-adding an creating another project with just this class with no luck.

I was able to fix this problem:
1. Right-click on the control and select "rename"
2. Rename to some NEW name.
3. Right-click on the new named control - now the remove from project shows up.

Hi John,
Do you still have a copy of your original class with the controls that you could not remove? If you can post it to the forums it would be a help so I can investigate it because what you are describing is not expected behavior. If you are unable to post it to the forums another possibility is to send it to me directly via the NI FTP site.
Please let me know if this is a possibility!
