The file you downloaded does not appear to be a driver file.

What is the model of the instrument that you are looking for?

It's possible you may have accidentally renamed the file, as niet_download_id.log_id is part of a URL.

Abhimaniu,

If you are using a version of LabVIEW later than LabVIEW 8.0, you can follow these steps to install the drivers:

1. In any LabVIEW window, go into Tools ---> Instrumentation ---> Find Instrument Drivers

2. Login with your MyNI username

3. Select Tektronix in the Manufacturer drop down menu and the instrument name in keyword input space and click next

4. Select the driver you wish to install and click Install

Once the installation is complete, you can access the functions related to this instrument on Functions palette ---> Instrument I/O ---> Instrument Drivers ---> Tektronix DPO 7000 series.

If the version of LabVIEW is older than 8.0 you can download the drivers from the following link:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=9910

and follow these instructions to install the drivers:

https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000x3XpCAI&l=en-US

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Rohit

As the op mentions here, the link to download a 7.1 driver is actually downloading a 8.0 driver. Something got broken with the changes to the instrument driver network.
