Run Time Engine

rfpeng,

You shouldn't have to uninstall 7.1 to install the 7.0 runtime.  Do you know if you've run any applications built in 7.0 in the past?  You may have already installed the 7.0 runtime and just not realized it.  If nothing else you could always uninstall the 7.1 runtime and then install 7.0 and 7.1 then.  This shouldn't hurt anything.

Also, you might want to post things like this in a new thread in the future.  The most recent post previous to yours was over a year ago so not many people are reading posts this far back.

Justin,

Thank you for your reply. The application was developed with 7.0 and I only have the exe file. When I run the application, it shows some error message. The original develpoer told me that application need 7.0 run time engine. For the computer running the application (my notebook), I am 100% sure there is no other verison installed exept LabView 7.1.

I tried to search answer from previous post. It seems to me that other people did not have the same problem.
