Still stuck at the same problem. Forget the

above posts where I wanted to run the Vi

when they are opened. Is ther any damn way

to run the code without using then Run button,

not using CTRL+R, and not Run the VI when its

opened. I want to create a custom Run button on

the front panel. thats it

This has already been answered. Answer: NO.

Unless you do something flashy like use an Xcontrol http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=457607&query.id=1227148#M457607

The biggest problem witht he Run when open the VI

is when you stop the execution of VI, you cannot restart

it agin unles you have acces to run button.

If the VI is set to run when openend, there should be no easy way to stop execution, so there is no need to restart it, ever.

In a proper state machine, you'd just go to an idle state, for example.

I thought I was in this thread, which asked the same question, and in which I pointed out that XControl. These same questions asked over and over again make me deja vu nautious. Smiley Very Happy
