Running LabVIEW 7.1 on Windows 2003 Server with Terminal Services

I don't believe I actually had to click on the link you provided to find out it's Denmark you're talking about.  Only afterwards did I notice the flag as your avatar.  D'oh!

Thanks for taking this to the people responsible.  I find the feature very welcome, but I don't want to annoy anyone by breaking the licensing rules.  I especially don't want to start advising people to do stuff which violates their Licencs agreement with NI.

Thanks, and I'm looking forward to the answer,

Shane.

Alright Shane,

I got the experts confronted with the question if Remote Desktopping would violate the NI Software Licensing Agreement when accessing the LabVIEW Development system.

Well, pour yourself another cup of coffee! The official licensing agreement is NOT violated by the use of Remote Desktopping, since the feature restricts the number of users that are simultaneous logged into the computer to only one. This is basically considered the same scenario as having multiple users accessing one machine that has LabVIEW installed on it, one at a time. The licenses are computer based and with Remote Desktopping it's still being used on one computer by only one person at a time, so the license is not being violated.

Let me know if you have any further licensing/coffee questions, thanks.

Check out www.ni.com/license!

Thanks Philip,

That's what I was hoping, but I was a little uncertain about the wording of the license.

This is great.  It kind of opens up the way I currently use LV at work.

Thanks! I'm off now to pour myself some coffee!

Shane.
