Running sbRIO off standard batteries

Thanks for the further in site.  The device requirements is that the user can exchange the battery with easily available batteries like alkaline C or D cells.  I will need to beable to run the system for upto 6 hours (can sleep possibly and peak use for acquisition is 1 minute bursts upto 100 minutes).  I can not change the requirement but would like to use the sbrio since I have build a previous generation using the sabe platform (that was a plugin unit with a power supply.

Dear all,

I am a student working on a portable application using sbRIO-9636. Please let me know how to power it? Which battery should I use (9Vdc)? What about current consideration? Please reply to it earliest.

It all depends on your application and what requirements you need. I would recommend looking at the Power Requirements (pages 54-57) section of the user manual for the NI-9636.

This is also an interesting community example which might be helpful, and references using this battery.
