SC-2345 "application development environment on Macintosh

In the NI-DAQ Configuration Utility the pop up display to configure the Accessory SC-2345 does not present the modules SCC-RTD01 and SCC-FT01 as acceptable choices.

Can someone aim me in the right direction?

The SC-2345 manual does mention "Install your application development environment (ADE)" but I can't find anything else on this matter.

RL,
I was able to select the SCC-FT01 in almost every slot, but I could not select the SCC-RTD01. I will contact our R&D Department and post another reply when I have more information. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you.

The text does not show that I am using OS 9.2 on the Macintosh which Labview only partially supports.

I just tried the DAQ Configuration again and there is no SCC-FT01.

This is the order of what I get in LV 6.1 and LV 7.

Can you tell me the exact version of NI-DAQ you are using? Thank you for your patience.

I am using NI-DAQ 6.6.1 on versions 6.1 and 7 of Labview. Each version is on a different drive with its own OS 9.2. Both have the same limitations. This was also a problem when I was using only 6.1

Thank you.

Sarah,

I believe that you were looking for this article in the Knowledgebase. It seems to me that the catalog could at least mention that I cannot use my SCC-RTD01 and SCC-FT01. I have wasted a lot of time over the NI cavalier approach to information for the Macintosh not to mention bought modules I cannot use.

What SCC Modules are Supported in NI-DAQ 6.6.0 for Mac OS?

Solution: Here are the devices supported in NI-DAQ 6.6.0 for Mac OS.

Please check the release notes of any future versions of NI-DAQ for changes.
SCC-A10
SCC-CI20
SCC-AI05
SCC-TC01
SCC-TC02
SCC-LP01
SCC-LP02

I'm sorry that you are frustrated with the MAC offerings. I know you've indicated that you are unable to select the SCC-FT01, but here is what I was able to do - incase there are other people out there facing a similar issue:
1. Configure the board for SCC-FT01 where the SCC-RTD01 is.
2. Launch the DAQ Channel Wizard and select New >> Analog input channel.
3. Specify Name, Description (optional) and sensor type (RTD)
4. Select units and range
5. Select RTD resistance
6. Specify board, channel, AI mode, and excitation needed. Make sure the board is configured for non-referenced single ended.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

Thank you Sarah. Any help to find "work arounds" is much appreciated.

Please write a note to the website and catalogue dept. that they need to tell users that these products are not supported on the Macintosh.
