SCXI power light not lit

HI,

Is there a swtich for the SCXI other than the one in the front if the case of a PXI 1050 chassis that will turn the power on for the SCXI slots? the LED light is not lit.

Have you checked the fuses and the circuit breaker on the back of the chassis? Refer to the manual for their locations and ratings.

If the fuses aren't the issue, make sure the power cable is working by testing it on another machine.  Also, make sure you're plugging the Chassis into the proper mains voltage; depending on how the chassis is configured, it will operate on 120 or 240 volts.  If you still aren't able to get the chassis to power up, please describe your troubleshooting steps in more detail.  Have a great afternoon!

can i ask what the second fuse holder is for? its empty.

The second fuse holder is not electrically connected to the system and is used to hold an extra fuse.  Glad you're up and running!
