Hi Math , i apologise for late reply . Well i tried searching whether similar issues have been reported anywhere else . I could not get any . What anitvirus are you using ? Did you try installing LabVIEW in some other computer and checking whether this problem is coming ? I have not encountered this problem and i am predicting this could be an issue with the security update as mentioned by altenbach. Still i will confirm this with my team and post back . Could you also float your mail ID so that i can call you directly and see this problem ? I will need to either replicate (which ofcourse seems impossible in this case ) or log remotely to your computer to check this .
Also, i will be interested to know whether these kind of problems you are encountering only in LabVIEW or any other software also , just to segregrate whether its a LabVIEW issue or WIndows :)?

Calling me Math? Vow only my close friend used to call me like this and i enjoy it. Thanks....
Am using Symantec Antivirus and my system is in a network of almost 100 machines and are controlled by IT department and we have no control over that antivirus. I installed LabVIEW (offcourse the same one i installed in my PC) in another PC that is not connected in the network and is not having any antivirus and is still facing the same problem atleast once in a day. My mail id is meet_mathan@rediffmail.com but am afraid i can't able to help you with replication of this problem. Am facing this issue with LabVIEW only and i had no problems in any other softwares in my machine. I certainly hope its not a Windows issue, based on the replies from few other people in this thread above.
Thanks for looking into this.

I recently observed this again. I think it is a LabVIEW problem.

Hi Mathan,
Like you said from the above posts it seems it is not a problem of antivirus. I have been trying hard to see the search pallette launch automatically in my PC as well my colleagues 🙂 . But no luck :|.
Well in LV 2010, the search pallete is going to have some modifications so hoping the issue is resolved then.
