Second serial port for CompactRIO

Is it possible to use two serial ports with a CompactRIO? Until now I use just the built in port, but I would like to use a second one. I couldn't find a module with another serial port. Is it possible to simulate a serial port by software with for example the cRIO-9401 in combination with a line transciever?

If you don't need the hardware flow control and your com port has some idle time you can think about some hardware to switch the port

Years ago I have seen ready to buy RS232 1 to 8 port switch that could be controlled by serial commands ...

Or you use a Ethernet2RS232 converter and have as many ports you like
