Separating source from compilations

I recently upgraded from Developer's Suite 2009 to 2010. To do so I had to check out 1600+ VIs from ClearCase. I attended a users group meeting last night and someone there mentioned that it may be possible to separate source from compilations with LV 2010. If so I would like to know more about it. Sure would have saved a lot of time.

Thanks for the post.

The help file states:

"If you intend to load or run a VI using the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine, do not separate compiled code from the VI."

I don't know the internal workings of the deployment tool but I am guessing this would not affect deployed systems.
