Set Permissions worked 8.6.1 doesn't work 2009

Am I missing something?

This used to work in LabVIEW 8.6.1 but doesn't seem to work in LabVIEW 2009.

In the attached vi I'm trying to reset the read only permission on a file (in Windows) so that if the user chooses to overwrite old reports, everything in the folder can be recursively deleted.

Now all I get is error 1.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Here's my (Win32) workaround until NI fixes it or someone can explain where I went wrong.

Hi Troy,

This behavior has already been reported as CAR#205735.  For now, your workaround is the best option to circumvent the behavior.

Thanks Stephen, do I need to go searching through corrective action requests too or should this sort of thing be listed in the LabVIEW 2009 known issues document?

Hi Troy,

Not every CAR is on the known issues document.  Some are deemed impactful enough that they need to go there; others don't.
