Setting limits for AO Config

Hello experts,
I am using LabView 7 Express, WinXP and DAQCard 6062E.
I would like to adjust the limit settings of the AO Output VI. However, when I try to enter something different from -10.0 to +10.0V, or the default (0 to 0V), I can't get the proper signal out, and I get Error -10012 (...analog output range invalid...).
Am I right assuming I should use the "Limit settings" parameter of the AO Config VI to set the sampling range in order to get the best possible accuracy for my output signal? If I generate a signal with a low amplitude, and keep the default values (0 to 0 or -10 to +10), do I get a well sampled signal?
Thank you
Phil

The analog output channels on the DAQCard 6062E have only the -10.0 to +10.0 or 0 to 10 V range options. The limit settings would be the way to go, but you must use a valid range. Note the accuracy specifications on the module's data sheet. You get 10.568 mV accuracy on the output, so you should refrain from very low amplitudes. You could add an attenuation amp after the output as a custom circuit. The breadboard area of the SCB-68 is perfect for that sort of thing.

You should consult with an expert before purchasing hardware to make sure that you will end up with the correct gain and sampling capability. There are plenty of Alliance Member companies like ours out there, and your NI field and internal sales reps are there to help.

If you post your d
esired performance requirments, I'd be happy to recommend the right hardware.
