Simultaneous recording of time and strain

Solved!
Go to solution

I am using LabView 2010, NI USB-9219, NI cDAQ-9172 and linear strain gages. I want to be able to record the time for each strain reading and cannot seem to find a method that works. I want the output in Excel to be time and strain. I know the strain value itself is correct as verified experimentally, I just need the corresponding time component to add into the block diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am new to LabView.

rumef,

You can add a time column to the file in the configuration of the Write to Measurements File.  Double-click the function to set the parameters.  You may also find addign a header helpful.

See attached sscreenshot.
