Simultaneously starting vi from host PC and target cRIO

Solved!

Hi, I am using NI-9239 analog input module on cRio-9040 to measure voltage in my circuit. I have a Newport motor (with ESP301 controller) connected to the host PC, the position of which changes the voltage value fed to the NI module. I want to change position of the motor and start data acquisition of the NI module simultaneously. I don't have an external trigger from the motor. I have the vi to change motor position on host pc and the vi to log the data from NI module on target cRIO. I want to start them at the same time. Does anyone have suggestions on how to do it? Is it possible to invoke cRIO target VI from the host pc VI?

I would move the motor controller to the cRIO.  Then the cRIO, which is A LOT more reliable than a normal PC, can control everything and just pass the data back up to the PC for logging.

Thank you for your reply. Do you mean to connect the motor controller to the cRIO (say via USB) and install the corresponding NI drivers in the cRIO? Can you please guide me to resources on how it is done?
