As part my 4th year project at Cardiff Uni I have to import a Slidworks model of a simple car, with 3 motors that power the rear axle, and the steering for each front wheel. What is the best method to try and to achieve this?

More than likely you'll use the Load VRML File.VI and use the 3D picture control to manipulate your model but I would also suggest taking a look at the 3D Sensor Mapping Express VI. There are a couple of other ways to integrate directly with Solidworks and with just the models in LabVIEW.
