My purpose was not to get readymade solutions form anybody. But needs to discuss the ideas which can solve my current as well as future isssues with customized controls.

Anyway thanks for great help to bring up good LabVIEW examples on Board.

I just found a vi that might help you using the picture control vis:

Draw arc.vi  see attached pic. 

If you dig in the vi.lib/picture you can find even more usefull vis that are already there.

LabVIEW has a lot more than 'just' the vis in shown in the standard palettes

i have also a problem with rotating leds, I need to rotate an eight led matrix with a led turned on from left to right continuosly, but only with a shift register with true/false constants

I used a while loop, order 1D rotate array, and an array of leds as indicator. Finally, I use Labview 7.1.
