Split up the instrument handle connection line

To improve the speed of my datalogging program I would like to know if it's advisable to split up the instrument handle connection line. Because subsequent to the VIs which use the instrument handle it isn't anymore possible to merge the different connection lines. That's the reason why I have some doubts on the success of it.

Dear Mara,

Did you mean the Error Handler connection? Please tell me which handle connection line do you want to split.

A good performance, you will reach with a buffered data aquisition. With a good hardware and with a clean programmed application.

Hope this helps,

Hello SebastianN

To read out data from a oscilloscope I have these different VIs like initialisation.vi, readwaveform.vi, ... and all of them has some VI specific in-/outputs. But all of them has an in-/output for the instrument handle and the error handle. Now an wondering if it is possible to split the instrument handle, so that several processes can run parallel.

Dear Mara,

it is not possible to split the handle wire with a VI.
But you could take the unbundle function to split the lines.
Or you create for every task a own initialisation and so on.

Hope this helps.
