thanks for your explanations. but i'm still not getting the desired "resting time".
my daq card is receiving continuous square wave inputs and it counts how many squarewave pulses.
however, when the squarewave inputs is interrupted, meaning, it stops at only the HIGH. (or LOW) because the sensor stopped at a reflective surface which will only produce a HIGH. the time cannot be started.
so it shld go like this: the daq will recieve 1010101010101010101010101010....... (thus producing a squarewaveform) at normal conditions.
but in interrupted conditions, the daq will receive 101010111111111111111111111.... (or 10101010100000000000000000) therefore, when it stops producing a squarewave, i would like to start counting the time. (when all becomes 1)
i still cant seem to make it work.
