State chart crashes entire project

I have a relatively simple state chart.  After modifying it (I think modifying the input type def), LabVIEW crashes.  What's more is that if I try to open the LabVIEW State Chart file, LabVIEW immediate crashes.  If I open the project file which has the State Chart in it, the project crashes.
If I delete teh State Chart, the project opens up fine (except it can't find the state chart).
I've tried remaking the state chart only to have the same problems after a few changes I made again to the input typedef.

I keep having to delete the state chart and start over again...

Also, how do I get the project to stop looking for the state charts I deleted?  They aren't in the tree anymore, but the project still looks for them and I have to hit ignore everytime.

I should also add that I completely uninstalled LabVIEW and then reinstalled... Didn't help.

Hello,

Have you called NI's phone support?  This sounds like a problem that they should hear about from a customer.  I had a problem with my statechart crashing when I would build it (maybe 10% of the time).  I called and worked with the applications engineer, who in turn worked with R&D to figure out the problem, develop a workaround, and submit it as a bug to be fixed in a future release.  It can be a painfully slow process but a necessary one.  Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi,

Sorry you are having problems/crashes with the statechart module.

If you are willing to post your files, we will try to take a look to find the problem as soon as time permits. Alternatively, as jmcbee recommended, you can contact our support department and we will do our best to get details about the crash as well as figure out the root cause and hopefully find a workaround.

Thanks,
Nick
