Stepper Motor using USB Control, some help needed.

All

I have a stepper motor that I wish to control using USB. I do not have any Labview drivers or dlls from the manufacturer. All I have is some sample VB and VC++ programs. And I do not want to use ActiveX if I can help it.

I guess the last method is to use VISA and configure the USB. For some reason, I am having problems. I am following the exact method described in the NI website. Any suggestions or help on how to drive my motor using LabVIEW ??

Thanks

Kudos are the best way to say thanks 🙂

I assume you are referring to the KnowledgeBase entitled Using NI-VISA 3.0 to Control Your USB Device; is that correct?

Is your USB stepper motor a USBTMC or USB RAW class device?  Do you already have a driver installed for the device?

You may want to have a look at KnowledgeBase 3EREJORY: Why is NI-VISA Unable to Control my USB Device? for more information.
