Hey GerdW,

 

That is my Junior n she also post the forums for that problem from the same account. Even i tried the conversion of string to timestamp, but its not working nwayzz, here is the vi.

 

If possible please guide me for the same dudeSmiley Wink

You're sending the wrong data to the scan from string function.

 

The element you're sending in your VI is the date element which contains 22/7/11.  The conversion string for the date is %<%d/%m/%y>T in LabVIEW versions after LabVIEW 7.0.  I don't have access to LabVIEW 7.0 so I can't tell you what the conversion string for LabVIEW 7.0 should be.  This information should be in the Help for the function.

not possible to do scan directly.  this is what i had to do (and i lifted this from another thread somewhere here).  it is in LV 7.1 so it has to be downconverted.

Yes, there are a lot of different threads containing this same solution. In fact, I did steal my code from a thread just like that. It's good that you used the search function to find it. Not many people are diligent enough to go look for the solution themselves.
